It has recently been recognized that the most important treatment for heart disease is prevention. Heart disease has no obvious signs and unfortunately, for most people the first sign of heart disease is a heart attack or stroke.
Wellness screening helps to detect conditions that may lead to heart disease before they cause a life threatening emergency.

Blood Pressure Clinic
Drop by the fire hall, meet the firefighters and get your blood pressure checked at our free monthly clinics. No appointment is necessary - it only takes a few minutes. Results are reviewed by our firefighter technicians, and each person receives a record card with results you can take to your doctor.

Workplace Wellness Clinics
The Vancouver Firefighters CPR + First-aid Program can bring testing equipment to your work site to provide screening for your employees. As in our community clinics, your employees can receive blood cholesterol and blood-pressure screening. Please contact our program coordinator for details.
