The Heart & Stroke Foundation sets the guidelines for CPR + first-aid in Canada and is an excellent source for information about heart disease. Vancouver Firefighters CPR + First-aid is a registered training affiliate of The Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon.

Canadian Red Cross

The Canadian Red Cross provides many services in Canada and worldwide, including disaster relief, international relief, water safety programs, and CPR and first-aid. Through our partnership with Canadian Red Cross we are able deliver many types of advanced first-aid courses and certification.

Physio Control

Manfacturer of AEDs (automatic external defibrillators). Physio Control supplies the AED simulators that we use in Vancouver Firefighters CPR + First-aid courses.

2010 Guidelines

Link to the 2010 Guidelines published in the Circulation journal of the American Heart Association . The Guidelines set the standard for CPR + First-aid in North America and are endorsed by the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
